Our story

We started because a child asked for something to do, and everything we had to offer had a screen in it.

Paper is the point

A pencil in the hand does something a tap on glass does not. Our products never ask a child to scan, download or unlock anything — there is nothing to log into.

Play first, learning second

A page that feels like homework gets abandoned on page two. We design for the child's appetite first and let the practice ride along underneath it.

Made for here

Book cricket, FLAMES, name-place-animal-thing. The games our readers already play in the back of a classroom, given a proper page of their own.

Kind by default

Every issue carries a line about being curious, being kind, being brave. Children read what is on the page even when nobody reads it aloud.

How one issue gets made

01

A story, not a topic

We pick the adventure first — a clue, a forest, a castle — and the puzzles follow it.

02

Teachers mark it up

03

Children break it

04

Printed and posted

The four on every page

They appear in the booklets, on the bottles and on the badges — so a child recognises their own things across the whole set.
